When the outbreak overran the garrisons, a single motor-rifle company refused the evacuation order. Their designation was Unit 09, and their orders were simple: hold the line until relieved. Relief never came.
The survivors of that company now answer to no government. They answer to the oath they took, rewritten in pencil on the inside of a ration box: protect the living, bury the dead, never turn a weapon on a survivor who has not turned one on you.
New recruits are not asked where they came from. They are asked one question by the duty sergeant: will you stand when others run? Those who answer yes are issued an olive armband and a number.

- Ex-military remnant. Organised patrols, escort duty, settlement defence against the infected. Disciplined PvE soldiers who protect, not prey.

- Patrols, escorts, infected clearing at military zones, guarding friendly settlements.

Fort Holdfast
A sandbagged forward operating base built around an abandoned checkpoint, with watchtowers, a motor pool and a mess tent.

- One division per player.
- Joining costs 5,000 CR and is non-refundable.
- You may leave at any time. After leaving you must wait 24 hours before joining any division.
- Rank resets when you leave.
- Division shops are paid in Sigils (1 Sigil = 100 CR, bought with CR, one way and non-refundable). One Sigil balance is shared by all divisions.
- Divisions are friendly settlements. Rivalry is about standing, not about griefing other divisions.
- Foundation entry is reserved for members of that division (foundations are coming soon).
- Server rules always come first. Staff may remove members for rule breaks without refund.
